A care schedule is useful only when it matches the robot and dock on the floor. These iRobot intervals come from separate family pages. They are not one schedule for every Roomba, and a schedule does not establish that two models use the same filter, brush, or replacement part. Use the exact manufacturer procedure for cleaning or replacement.
Roomba Plus 400
The Plus 400 schedule calls for weekly main-brush and filter care, or twice weekly with pets; the filter replacement example is 3–6 months and the main brush 6–12 months. Clean contacts, front caster, and edge brush every two weeks or as needed, and cliff sensors monthly or as needed. Its AutoWash dock has a separate schedule: clean contacts, sensors, IR window, and blower cover monthly; rinse and refresh tanks as needed; clean the pad basin when visibly dirty and monthly; and replace the bag when the indicator or app prompts. The mopping pad is cleaned automatically after mopping and has a 3–6-month replacement example. Confirm the matching Plus 400 AutoWash dock.
Roomba 100 and 1000 series
For the named 100/1000 family, iRobot lists weekly filter and main-brush care, or twice weekly in homes with pets. It gives 3–6 months as a filter replacement example and 6–12 months for the main brush. Charging contacts are cleaned every two weeks or as needed; the front caster and edge brush every two weeks or as needed; and cliff sensors monthly or as needed. The AutoEmpty dock has its own monthly schedule for contacts, sensors, the IR window, and blower-cover debris. Replace its bag when the LED or Roomba Home app prompts. Combo-only water tank and mop care follows each job.
Roomba 200 and 2000 series
The 200/2000 schedule also calls for weekly filter and main-brush care, increased to twice weekly with pets. The chart gives 3–6 months for filter replacement, 6–12 months for the main brush, and 3–6 months for the edge brush. Clean contacts and front caster every two weeks or as needed, and cliff sensors monthly or as needed. Inspect the brush cover/frame every six months and replace it if worn or damaged. Combo-only water tank and pad steps follow each mopping job; the pad replacement example is 3–6 months, depending on visible wear. For bin/filter and Combo pad/tank methods, follow the exact iRobot instructions and mop-pad page; the tank is not washable.
Roomba 400 Discovery through 900 series
The separate chart for the 400 Discovery, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 900 families says to empty the bin after each use. It lists weekly filter care, or twice weekly in homes with pets, with a two-month filter replacement example. The chart also lists monthly care for contacts, cliff and floor-tracking sensors, side brush, and the iAdapt localization camera; front-caster care is every two weeks. Brush and extractor schedules vary by the family rows in the chart: weekly cleaning, or twice weekly with pets, and 6–12-month replacement examples. Full-bin sensors are cleaned every two weeks for the 700, 800, and 900 rows. The chart does not establish filter washability; check the exact manual. For the 600-series non-washable filter procedure, see the filter-cleaning guide.
Roomba Combo 10 Max
For the Combo 10 Max, the filter is cleaned weekly or twice weekly with a pet and must not be washed; iRobot gives two months as a replacement example. The chart lists monthly brush and edge-brush care, contacts every two weeks, cliff sensors and the camera window/pad shelf monthly, and the front caster every two weeks. It does not give the Auto-Wash dock procedure; use its separate dock instructions. The mopping pad is washed manually as needed and discarded when no longer usable.
Roomba Max 700
The Max 700 chart gives weekly main-brush and filter cleaning, increased to twice weekly with pets, plus two weeks or as-needed care for charging contacts, front caster, and edge brush. It calls for monthly cliff-sensor care, every-four-week rear-caster care (weekly in homes with pets), and six-month brush-frame inspection. The chart distinguishes AutoEmpty from AutoWash dock care: the AutoWash chart includes its basin, air duct, tanks, and dock filter; the AutoEmpty chart includes a blower-cover check. The bag is replaced when the LED or app prompts. See the Max 700 bin and filter guide for the Vac/Combo cleaning differences.
Roomba Max 875 and Max 800 AutoWash
iRobot’s Max 800 chart identifies the robot as Max 875 and gives its AutoWash dock a separate schedule. The robot bin is checked every two weeks or as needed; the main brush is maintained monthly and replaced every 3–6 months as needed; the brush cover is inspected every six months; and the filter is cleaned as needed and replaced every 6–12 months. Contacts, cliff sensors, main wheels, and the edge brush have their own monthly or two-week entries. The front caster is cleaned every four weeks, or weekly in homes with pets. The roller mop and dirty-water bin are cared for as needed.
The Max 800 AutoWash dock has separate monthly contact, sensor, signal-area, and ramp-plate care; its tray and float are cleaned every two weeks or as needed. Replace the dust bag when the LED or app prompts, and rinse or refresh the tanks as needed. The chart supplies frequencies, not all removal procedures. Reopen the official Max 800 schedule and follow its linked procedure for the exact unit because iRobot may update its schedule. These rows do not apply to the Max 700 or another AutoWash family.
How to use these examples
Intervals are manufacturer examples, not a substitute for checking visible wear, use, alerts, or the current model instructions. iRobot notes that replacement timing can vary. A family schedule does not identify an exact part number or authorize opening a sealed robot or dock. If the robot’s series or dock is not listed above, use its own support page rather than borrowing the nearest row.
For step-by-step cleaning, see filter and airflow care, brush, wheel, sensor, and contact cleaning, and dock maintenance. For the Plus 615 and Plus 675 brush-cover sequences, use the model-specific guide.
