A refill-and-drain dock connects a robot’s water system to household plumbing. First identify the robot, dock, and regional manual. Similar names do not establish that two stations use the same water connection, voltage, maintenance method, or installation rules. This guide helps identify the right branch and separates routine care from plumbing work.
Match the dock before acting
| Robot and dock labels | What the matching manual establishes | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Roborock Saros 10R CE robot S91COP with refill-and-drain dock EWFD29HRR | The CE manual rates this dock at 220–240 VAC. It gives an inlet pressure range of 0.1–0.4 MPa, requires a drain outlet at least 15 mm in diameter, and limits the height difference from the drainpipe’s highest point to the dock floor to 1 m, preferably no more than 0.5 m. It specifies room-temperature tap water. | Roborock says it assumes installation responsibility only when an authorized Roborock technician installs the system. These values are for the named CE setup, not a US, UK, or Canadian suitability check. The supplied EWFD28HRR charging dock is not evidence that it is the refill-and-drain dock. |
| ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 Family robot DEX56 with EMEA station CH2453G | The EMEA manual describes a plumbed station rated 220–240 V, with a 0.1–1.0 MPa water-pressure range, 1/2-inch supply, and 3/8-inch drain. It specifies monthly dirty-water-tank cleaning; it does not state a clean-water-tank interval. | The manual describes its own installation and leak-check requirements but does not specify an authorized-technician policy. Confirm local installer requirements for this exact system. The US CH2453F/CH2453H station is a different, tank-fed configuration; use its US manual instead. |
| Narwal Flow robot YJCC026 with Auto Refill & Drainage dock YJCB026SL | The manual lists a clean-water strainer, three-way valve, and hose, and says the station’s electrical input depends on its nameplate. | The manual does not establish owner permission to install or service plumbing. The standard Flow dock YJCB026BL is a separate configuration; do not apply the YJCB026SL water-system details to it. |
Use the labels on both robot and dock, then open the exact regional manual. A robot-family name alone is not enough to identify a plumbed station. If a code is missing, a label differs, or the manual and installed parts do not match, stop and ask the manufacturer or installer to identify the system.
Keep routine care separate
After the installed configuration is confirmed, follow only the routine tasks the exact manual describes. For the named Saros 10R CE dock, the manual permits removing and rinsing the cleaning tray and its filter. The X8 EMEA manual has its own station-care instructions, including the monthly dirty-water-tank interval. The Narwal Flow refill-and-drain manual identifies parts and setup context, but its parts list does not establish permission for owner plumbing work.
Do not use another model’s tray procedure, cleaning liquid, tank interval, pressure value, fitting, or electrical rating. The US X8 CH2453F/CH2453H configuration is covered separately in ECOVACS X8 Family US and EMEA station care; this guide does not transfer its tank-fed care to the EMEA CH2453G station.
When to hand the work off
Pipe connections, valve or hose changes, moving a permanently installed dock, pressure problems, and leak checks belong with a qualified installer or the manufacturer’s service route under the exact manual and local requirements. For the Saros 10R CE system, follow Roborock’s stated authorized-technician requirement. For the X8 EMEA and Narwal Flow systems, confirm installer requirements with the respective manufacturer and your local installer.
If you see a leak, stop using the automatic fill-and-drain function and contact the installer or manufacturer. Keep away from wet electrical equipment. When requesting help, provide the robot and dock model codes, the region, the manual version, and what the system is doing. Resume only after the person responsible for the installation confirms what check is safe for that exact setup.
For tank-fed dock washing and drying, start with dock water, emptying, washing, and drying care. For Narwal robot/dock identification, see Narwal maintenance manuals, app schedules, and dock procedures. Neither guide replaces the installation instructions for a permanently connected system.
