This guide applies to the FCC manual’s Saros Z70 robot RRE0R50 with the EWFD28LRR Empty Wash Fill Dock. Confirm both model numbers on your equipment before using it. The manual describes a 120 V dock configuration; it does not establish instructions or electrical suitability for a UK, Canadian, or other dock variant.
Make the robotic arm safe first
Before any cleaning or maintenance, switch off the robot with its arm retracted into its compartment and unplug the dock. Keep hands and other body parts away while the arm operates. Do not force or disassemble the arm. If it is damaged, behaves abnormally, or does not retract normally, stop using the robot and contact Roborock support. The manual routes arm sensors and controls to skilled-person service.
Robot-side care
The manual lists main-brush care every two weeks with 6–12 month replacement examples, side-brush care monthly with 3–6 month replacement examples, and washable-filter care every two weeks with 6–12 month replacement examples. Actual condition may call for earlier service. These intervals apply only to this Saros Z70 configuration.
- Brushes: Remove and clear hair or debris using the manual’s sequence. Refit the cover until it locks. Do not open a motor or force a part that resists.
- Washable filter and dustbin: Remove the filter before rinsing the bin. Use clean water only, without cleaning liquid. Rinse the filter as directed and let the bin, lid, and filter dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Do not touch the filter surface with hands, brushes, or sharp objects.
- Omnidirectional wheel: The manual describes removing the axle to clean the wheel. The bracket does not come out; do not pry it loose. Air-dry parts before refitting.
- Sensors, wheels, and contacts: Wipe the manual’s named sensors, main wheels, and charging contacts with a soft dry cloth. Keep liquids and wet hands away from contacts.
Dock-side care
Only clean these parts with the dock unplugged and the robot arm retracted as directed above.
- Empty and rinse the dirty-water tank with cold water, shake it as instructed, empty it, and dry exterior water marks before refitting.
- Remove the disposable dust bag by its sealing handle. Fit the replacement fully and evenly before replacing the cover so the dock does not run without a bag.
- Remove the cleaning-tray module in the manual’s order. Rinse the tray and its filter, refit the filter to the tray, then reinstall the module.
Run a short normal dock cycle after reassembly. If the dock leaks, an alert returns, or the arm or controls remain abnormal, stop and contact service rather than opening the station.
The battery-removal section of this manual is for disposal of the robot; it does not authorize routine owner replacement. For battery symptoms and service limits, see battery replacement and safety. Other Saros models and docks have separate instructions, including the Saros 20 Sonic RRE0VES guide.
