Roborock’s support page says Error 10 calls for cleaning the filter, drying it thoroughly, reinstalling it, and trying again. It does not show that every Roborock uses the same filter or that the filter is the only possible cause.

Check the model before cleaning

Read the complete message in the app and confirm the robot’s exact model and regional version. Use that model’s manual to determine whether its filter is washable and how to remove it. Stop if the filter is damaged, there is liquid inside the robot, or a step would require opening the robot.

Clean a washable filter only as its manual directs

The Q Revo manual identifies its filter as washable. For the QX0PEA robot with EWFD11LRR or EWFD12LRR dock configurations, it says to turn the robot off and unplug it before maintenance, rinse the filter repeatedly, tap it to remove dirt, avoid touching the filter surface with hands or hard objects, and allow it to dry for 24 hours before reinstalling it.

The S5 Max manual also maps Error 10 to a wet or blocked filter and says to clean it, dry it for at least 24 hours, and try again. These are model-manual instructions. Do not treat 24 hours as a universal drying time for every Roborock filter.

Do not run the robot with a wet or missing filter when its manual says not to. Do not scrub the filter surface with a brush or hard object if the manual warns against it.

Check the result before considering a part

Reinstall the fully dry filter and bin as the model manual directs, then run the model’s normal test. If the alert clears, keep using the filter care interval in that manual. If the alert returns after a clean, completely dry, correctly installed filter, contact Roborock support for the exact model.

A recurring Error 10 does not prove that a replacement filter will solve the problem. The sources here do not establish filter fitment across Q Revo variants or other Roborock models. Confirm the exact part with the model’s official parts listing or support before buying anything.
