The Miele manual lists F1–F8 for the Scout RX3, Scout RX3 Runner, and Scout RX3 Home Vision HD manual family. Before handling a fault, switch the robot off at the side I/0 switch. The manual warns that the robot may start unexpectedly while an error is being addressed.
| Display | Manual meaning | Listed external check |
|---|---|---|
| F1 | Wheel raised | Place the robot on a level floor. |
| F2 | Sensors dirty; at startup, the collision sensor may be above empty space | Clean the sensors and move the robot away from an edge. |
| F3 | Filter not recognized | Insert the dust box with the exhaust filter fitted. |
| F4 | Drive wheels overloaded or stuck | Remove hair or threads from the drive wheels. |
| F5 | Brushes overloaded | Clean the roller and side brushes and remove caught objects. |
| F6 | Fan motor overloaded | Empty and clean the dust box; clean or replace the exhaust filter as the manual directs. |
| F7 | Internal system error or operation outside the permitted ambient temperature | Switch the robot off and on. The manual does not distinguish which condition caused F7 or state a temperature range in this table. |
| F8 | Front wheel dirty | Remove hair or threads and clean the wheel, cover, and recess. |
After correcting a listed problem, the manual allows a reset by switching the side I/0 switch off and on, pressing the remote’s Power button, or holding the robot’s Start/Pause sensor for at least three seconds. Use the manual’s sequence for this family; do not transfer it to another Miele model.
The F7 entry is ambiguous. It is not enough to diagnose a failed system or a temperature problem. If a message remains, or cleaning would require opening the robot, stop and contact Miele service.
