This checklist separates two questions that are often blurred: whether a part fits your exact robot and whether the seller, purchase terms, and support route make sense in your country. Check the robot and dock labels first, then the exact part number and any revision or purchase-date exception. A listing that ships to your address is not evidence of fitment.
Confirm the product and part
Record the robot model, dock or base-station model, hardware revision if shown, country of sale, and the part number from the official manual or support catalog. Look for a direct model-to-part relationship and read exclusions for variants or purchase dates. If the source only shows a category such as “filters” or “brushes,” treat fitment as not verified and ask the manufacturer or seller before ordering.
Separate regional offers from compatibility
A manufacturer’s US product page may not describe a UK or Canadian warranty, delivery route, voltage, returns policy, or available service. Verify the country’s storefront and the seller on your actual checkout page. Record the currency, taxes, shipping, import charges, stock state, and the date checked. Treat a model number in a regional catalog as an identity clue, not proof that the same bundle or service terms apply elsewhere.
Before deciding between repair and a replacement robot, keep trade-in credit as a separate, provisional line in your estimate. Record the eligible old-device model, condition rules, required new purchase, quoted credit, shipping steps, and date checked. Subtract credit only after the provider confirms the received device and amount. For example, the iRobot UK store describes a trade-in flow that checks the model entered against the device received before applying credit. Eligibility, condition, amount, and terms can change, so verify the current offer before comparing totals. A trade-in does not by itself make replacement preferable to an available repair.
Save the product page or order details with the date checked. Price, promotion, stock, warranty, and trade-in terms can change; a cached listing is not a current quote. Keep a dated storefront price separate from compatibility evidence, and do not treat an affiliate link as proof that a part fits or performs well.
Record an optional accessory-delivery plan separately
An optional delivery plan is a separate purchase commitment, not proof that a part fits or that a shipment is due. As checked on 18 October 2026, eufy’s UK accessory-service page lists plans for selected models. The page and its accessories subscription policy are useful starting points, but they do not establish eligibility, contents, charges, or terms for your checkout.
For the exact robot and variant, record the compatible items and quantities, the one-time or recurring selection, total charge with delivery and tax, billing and dispatch periods, renewal, and the cancellation, refund, or termination conditions shown for that order. Save the dated checkout and applicable terms. Compare like supplies bought as needed over the same period, including any supplies already in the box. Keep money charged, quantities delivered, actual use, and leftover stock separate. A dispatch cadence is not a replacement interval, and a stated discount is not proof of savings. Keep accessory deliveries separate from cloud services and protection coverage; supplier terms do not settle statutory rights. Use the ownership-cost worksheet for the like-for-like period comparison.
Check the rules for your purchase
Warranty terms are brand- and country-specific. In the United States, FTC consumer guidance recommends checking the written warranty’s coverage, claim process, and repair costs. It also explains that a manufacturer generally cannot require specified parts or services to keep warranty coverage unless it provides them for free or receives an FTC waiver, while damage caused by a third-party part or repair can still affect a claim. Check the exact product’s current written terms; this does not prove an aftermarket part is compatible or safe.
In the UK, a qualifying purchase from a trader may have statutory consumer remedies separate from a manufacturer’s warranty or a store’s voluntary return policy. The Consumer Rights Act section on short-term rejection and section on repair or replacement have conditions and timing rules; check the current official text and the facts of your purchase before acting. In Canada, provincial and territorial rules differ. Québec’s consumer office guidance describes an availability warranty for goods that may need a component replaced, cleaned, or updated, and names vacuum cleaners as an example. Before buying, check the exact product and seller disclosure for parts, repair service, and repair information; identify anything stated as unavailable and any details given for partial availability. For an online order, check the merchant’s pre-contract disclosure and linked manufacturer information. This is a product-availability checkpoint, not a conclusion that a particular robot, seller, or transaction is covered.
For a qualifying UK distance purchase, a cancellation right may apply separately from faulty-goods remedies and a seller’s voluntary returns policy. For an ordinary goods sale, the cancellation period generally ends 14 days after you (or a recipient you named, other than the carrier) take physical possession; separate rules can apply to split deliveries and other contract types. Return timing, who pays the direct return cost, and possible deductions for handling beyond what is needed to inspect the goods can matter. Check the current Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, including its exceptions and information requirements, and confirm the terms and facts of the specific transaction. This is a purchase checkpoint, not a conclusion that a particular robot or return qualifies.
Disclose commercial connections where readers encounter them
Describe the publisher’s actual relationship in clear, reader-facing language. A sample commission sentence is useful only when commission is the real connection: “We may receive a commission if you buy through some links. A commission does not determine whether a part fits your model or whether a robot suits your needs.” The FTC’s endorsement guidance also recommends clear disclosure of financial relationships. The page, entry point, link placement, and the benefit received all affect what a reader needs to understand.
UK: check whether the page is wholly affiliate or mixed editorial content
The ASA/CAP affiliate advice distinguishes a page where all content refers to affiliate brands or products from editorial content that contains affiliate links or promotions. Check the page as readers encounter it: a wholly affiliate page should make its commercial character obvious, including at the point a reader enters; on a genuinely mixed page, make the related affiliate promotion identifiable where it appears. Consider the surrounding copy, images, entry route, and link presentation together. The advice is a prompt to assess the actual content and presentation, not a universal label that resolves every page.
Canada: name the material connection and make it easy to notice
The Competition Bureau’s guidance covers material connections beyond commissions. Check whether the publisher received money, a free product or service, a discount, travel or event benefits, or has a personal or family relationship that may affect the endorsement. Describe the actual connection prominently and in plain language, close enough to the endorsement to make its context clear. Readers should be able to see it without tapping, hovering, or opening another page. A brand tag, discount code, or affiliate link by itself may not explain what the publisher received. Apply the guidance to the actual relationship and presentation; this article does not determine a particular site’s legal obligations.
Checkout checklist
Before you order, confirm the model and dock, the part number and explicit fitment, the country-specific seller and warranty, the full price and delivery terms, and the date each item was checked. If any key fitment or support detail is unresolved, record it as not verified and ask the manufacturer or seller before paying.
